In it’s infancy I welcomed this season with its promise of cosy nights and a slower pace.

But this promise has become a heavy skin waiting to be shed.

After the joy and festivity these dark months that follow feel like the keepers of spring; not yet ready to let it free.

But today I saw a glimpse of hope; a nod to the new season; making me smile.

January prompt-a-day from write alm today’s promptly is – makes you smile

I had to dig really deep with this prompt. I thought today’s blog post would never happen but I persevered and it came…eventually. Lots of things make me smile but I just couldn’t seem to put it into words.

I hope you have had a lovely weekend and wish you a happy week ahead.

Frinspire: from grey to yellow

We’ve been having a grey old time here in Blighty over the past weeks and any tiny bit of sun has been so welcome I can tell you. Yesterday the sun came out properly and it was just so nice! So this week’s ‘frinspire’ is  f r o m   g r e y   t  o   y e l l o w . . . I hope you like my choices? A couple of these beauties are from very talented members of the team I am in, Craft Britannia,  over at Etsy…there are so many amazing artists and makers in the team I am very pleased to be a part of it.

I have done a little spring cleaning in my etsy shop, brightening things up, and I am so pleased with it! What do you think?

The first day of…

…spring and this wonderful season is always heralded by this gloriously cheerful forsythia in my garden, I love it! Even when the sun isn’t so bright I catch a glimpse of this beautiful bush and it’s as if the sun is shining at it’s brightest, and it never fails to make me smile.

I hope the beginning of the week has been a good one for you and wish you a good middle and end!

Is there a plant in your garden or pots that makes you smile? I’d love to know.

Happy spring lovely people!
